Checks for Update
Checks for an update now and if found will download the update and install it when no Flows are executing.
Update Channel
The release channel FileFlows follows. This controls which releases you are notified about, and which releases FileFlows will update to if Auto Update is enabled.
| Channel | Description |

| Stable | Follows the monthly stable release, a well tested release recommended for most users. Stable releases are the versions ending in .9, for example 26.10.9 is the stable release for October 2026. You will only be notified about stable releases. |
| Latest | Follows every release, giving early access to new features and fixes before they reach the stable release. You will be notified about every new release. |
New installs default to Stable when running a stable release, otherwise to Latest.
Auto Update
When enabled FileFlows will routinely be checked for updates on the selected Update Channel, and if an update is found, will automatically be downloaded and installed.
This is off by default, and it is recommended to leave it off so you can choose when to update.
Auto Update Plugins
When enabled plugins will routinely be checked for updates, and if any updates are found will automatically be downloaded.
Auto Update Agents
When enabled external Agents will automatically update when FileFlows Server updates. Meaning you will only have to update the FileFlows Server instance in a distributed environment.
