Notification

Sends a notification to the FileFlows notifications, the bell in the top bar of the web console.

If the web console is open when the notification is sent, it also pops up on screen.

This is useful for letting you know when something in a flow needs attention, for example when a file is too large, is missing an audio track, or has been sent to a manual review folder.

Type​

The type of notification to send.

  • Information – General information.
  • Success – Something completed successfully.
  • Warning – Something that should be looked at.
  • Error – Something went wrong.

Title​

The title of the notification.
You can include variables using {} syntax, e.g. Large file: {file.Name}.

The flow element fails if the title is empty once the variables are replaced.

Message​

An optional message shown under the title.
This also supports variables.

Outputs​

  1. Notification sent – The notification was sent.

Example​

To be told when a file is larger than expected after it is converted:

  • Type: Warning
  • Title: Large file: {file.Name}
  • Message: {file.Name} is {file.Size|size} after conversion, check the encoding settings.
