Shared Flows

Shared Flows are community-contributed processing pipelines that you can import directly into FileFlows. They are visual constructs built using the Flow Editor that allow you to automate complex file processing workflows.

Flows require a valid FileFlows license. Both submitting and downloading flows requires an active license linked to your fileflows.com account.

Downloading Flows​

  1. Open the Flows section in the FileFlows WebConsole
  2. Click the Repository button
  3. Browse the available flows
  4. Select the flow you want and click Download

Downloading and using shared Flows requires a FileFlows license.

Submitting Flows​

To share a flow with the community:

  1. Open the Flows section in the FileFlows WebConsole
  2. Right-click on the flow you want to share
  3. Select Share
  4. The flow is uploaded to fileflows.com and enters the review process
  5. Once approved, it becomes available for other licensed users to download

  • The flow is scanned for security concerns before approval
  • Shared flows must include a Library Output flow element
  • Shared flows cannot contain custom Scripts or SubFlows

Publishing Updates​

When you make improvements to a flow you've already submitted:

  1. Open the Flows section in the FileFlows WebConsole
  2. Right-click the modified flow
  3. Select Share
  4. Your updated version is submitted as a new revision
  5. Once approved, it becomes the latest version available for download

You can have multiple revisions pending review at the same time, but each must be reviewed before publication.

Deleting Flows​

If you no longer wish your flow to be available in the repository:

  1. Go to My Repository on fileflows.com
  2. Find the flow you want to delete
  3. Click Delete and choose whether to delete the latest revision or the entire flow

Deleting an entire flow removes it permanently. Users who have already downloaded it will still have their local copy.
