Creating Audio Books

This guide tells you how to create audiobooks in the m4b format from folders containing chapters as individual audio files.

Firstly, each chapter must be in the same folder and be separated into individual files.

These files should be appropriately named so that they are ordered correctly.

For example:

The Dark Horse\01. Prelude.mp3
The Dark Horse\02. The Begining.mp3
The Dark Horse\03. Darkest Night.mp3
The Dark Horse\04. Green Wall.mp3
The Dark Horse\05. The Cold.mp3

This folder structure would create a file The Dark Horse.m4b with 5 chapters with the appropriate chapter names.

Required Plugins​

You must have the Basic and the Audio plugin for this to work.

Flow​

Create a new Folder flow which has a Input Folder connected to a Create Audio Book

Library​

  • Create a new Library.
  • Choose Custom as the Template.
  • Enter a name for the Library
  • Choose the flow you just created as the Flow
  • Go to the Advanced tab
  • Ensure that Folders are enabled as you will be processing Folders and not Files through this flow.
