Audio Normalization
The Audio Normalization task analyzes an uploaded media file and returns loudnorm normalization settings you can apply during encoding.
Audio normalization can be CPU-intensive. Using Forge lets you offload this work to a more powerful machine, so it does not impact other runner performance on the same processing node.
Why You Would Use It
- Get more consistent playback loudness across files.
- Reduce very loud or very quiet audio differences.
- Apply normalization as part of automated video/audio processing flows.
What It Returns
Forge returns normalization settings that the flow element applies during processing.
